The new horror movie Psycho Killer opens in movie theaters this weekend, and Talking Heads fans everywhere are saying: Qu’est-ce que c’est?
Written by Andrew Kevin Walker (Seven, 8mm, Sleepy Hollow), and directed by Gavin Polone in his feature directorial debut, Psycho Killer is not, in fact, a movie about the ’80s band led by David Byrne. It’s a horror movie starring Georgina Campbell as a cop on a mission to catch the notorious serial killer known as the Satanic Slasher (played by James Preston Rogers), and bring him to justice. For this cop, it’s personal: the Satanic Slasher killed her husband.
Also starring Malcolm McDowell and Logan Miller, Pyscho Killer has been in development in some form or other for over 15 years. That’s a long time, even for Hollywood! Now, the movie is finally a reality. Read on to learn more about where to watch the Psycho Killer movie, including when and where we expect to be able to watch the Psycho Killer movie on streaming.
For now, Psycho Killer will only available to watch in a movie theater, when it opens in theaters in the U.S. on Friday, February 20. You can find a showing near you via Fandango. Psycho Killer is not yet available to watch online or on streaming.
Psycho Killer is not streaming on Netflix right now. Psycho Killer is a 20th Century Studios release, a studio owned by Disney, and therefore will likely go on to stream on one of the Disney-owned streamers, rather than on Netflix.
You will be able to purchase Psycho Killer on Amazon Prime Video eventually, when the movie becomes available to buy and rent on digital, but you will not be able to stream Psycho Killer on Prime Video free with a Prime subscription any time soon, because it is not a Prime original movie. If you want to watch Psycho Killer movie at home, you’ll have to wait for the film to be available to buy or rent on digital platforms.
Psycho Killer will likely stream on Hulu and Disney+ eventually. Psycho Killer is a 20th Century movie, a production company that has been owned by Disney since 2017. So you may eventually see Psycho Killer stream on Disney+, or on the Disney-owned streamer, Hulu—or both. However, because Psycho Killer is a R-rated movie for adults, and because Disney+ is geared toward children, our guess would be that Psycho Killer will come to Hulu only.
If you’re new to Hulu, you can get started with a 30-day free trial on the streamer’s basic (with ads) plan. After the trial period, you’ll pay $10.99/month. If you want to upgrade to Hulu ad-free, it costs $18.99/month.
If you want to stream even more and save a few bucks a month while you’re at it, we recommend subscribing to one of the Disney+ Bundles, all of which include Hulu. These bundles start at $12.99/month for ad-supported Disney+ and Hulu and goes up to $32.99/month for Disney+, Hulu, and Max, all ad-free.
You might see Psycho Killer streaming on Hulu around May 2026.
The Psycho Killer Hulu streaming release date has not yet been announced, but we can make an educated guess as to when Psycho Killer will stream on Hulu based on previous releases from 20th Century.
The Amateur, another 20th Century movie, was released on Hulu in the U.S. a little over three months after opening in theaters, and a little over one month after releasing on digital. If Ssycho Killer follows a similar release pattern, the movie might be released on digital around mid-to-late April 2026, and it might stream on Hulu (and possibly Disney+, too) around mid-to-late May 2026—in other words, a little over three months after the movie opened in theaters.
But this is all speculation. If you want to see Psycho Killer movie ASAP, you can go watch the movie in theaters.
