Age of Attraction, which landed on the streamer today, is Love is Blind, but instead of not being able to see the other person face-to-face, the contestants aren’t allowed to know the ages of their potential matches.
So, is age just a number? For Viall and Joy it is. The two have a nearly 20-year age gap, making them the perfect couple to guide these singles through Age of Attraction. In the show, the contestants range from their early 20s to their early 60s, and they aren’t allowed to reveal their true ages until a commitment is made. Whether or not they will stand the test of time (or this experiment) will depend on their compatibility, their ability to throw age out the window, and whether their loved ones approve of their newfound matches.
Viall and Joy, for their part, are often in the pop culture conversation as co-hosts of the Viall Files podcast. Viall, previously a star on The Bachelor, has also hosted a Secret Lives of Mormon Wives reunion, while Joy is a certified surgical technologist. According to Viall, he initially had “reservations” about pursuing a relationship with a much-younger Joy, who was “far less worried about others’ opinions” in regard to their age gap.

Nick Viall and Natalie Joy have an 18-year age difference. As of the time of this writing, Viall is 45 years old (born in 1980) and Joy is 27 years old (born in 1998). They began dating in 2020 when Joy, then 22 years old, slid into Viall’s, then 40 years old, DMs. They tied the knot in 2024 at her family’s farm in Georgia. “A modern-day love story,” Joy says in Age of Attraction.
Yes! Joy is currently pregnant with twin girls, their second and third babies. The podcaster gave birth to their first daughter, River Rose Viall, in February 2024.
