Michael Douglas reveals wild Golden Globes party with Bob Dylan, a Beatle — and a caviar-eating dog

Michael Douglas is telling all in his bombshell new memoir, "One Helluva Ride." Michael Douglas unexpectedly found himself in the company of some A-list superstars after winning his first Golden Globe in 1988 — and one pooch with a really expensive pallet.

In his explosive new memoir “One Helluva Ride,” out today, Douglas recalls spotting Beatles lead guitarist George Harrison in the lobby of the Hotel Bel-Air, acknowledging the musician with a nod and wave before heading to the splashy awards ceremony.

Douglas won the Globe for Best Actor in a Motion Picture Drama for his portrayal of greedy corporate financier Gordon Gekko in “Wall Street” (a role that would later win him an Oscar). But after going through the motions of the press flurry after the show, Douglas realized that everyone else had already gone home, and he had no one to celebrate with.

“I said screw it and went to Trader Vic’s for a drink, then back to the hotel, kind of excited, but feeling a little sorry for myself,” he writes in the memoir. But just after midnight, the phone rang – it was Harrison.

“Hello, Michael. I just got back to the hotel, and my mate and I thought we’d come by and say hi,” Harrison said. It was an easy “yes” for Douglas.

“A couple of minutes later, there was a knock on my door and in he walked, accompanied by the biggest dog I’d ever seen, and then his ‘mate’: Bob Dylan,” Douglas recalls.

The actor fondly calls it “one of the most amazing nights of my life,” but somehow, Dylan and Harrison were outshined by the night’s real star: the canine.

“We sat around and shot the sh-t, but the thing I remember most is the dog. There was caviar on the table and this behemoth started licking it. And no one was stopping him. Bob said, ‘Far out, dog loves caviar!’ but all I was thinking is, ‘That’s gotta be like a hundred dollars per lick!’”

Douglas’ extensive press tour for the book includes stops on late-night shows and a string of podcasts, including “Smartless” and “The Joe Rogan Experience,” we hear.
