Woman dies, baby critically injured after they were allegedly thrown from Bronx apartment block: reports

Make New York Post a Preferred Source A woman died early Tuesday and a baby has been critically injured after they were allegedly thrown from a Bronx apartment block balcony, according to reports.

Officers swooped on 2550 Olinville Avenue at 3:38 a.m., where they found the two victims on the ground with injuries consistent with a fall from an elevated position, the NYPD told The Post.

Both victims were rushed to Jacobi hospital in a critical condition. The woman has since been pronounced dead.

Authorities did not provide any further details about the victims or the nature of the fall.

A witness told cops one of the victims was a baby. They also claimed the infant and woman were thrown from a balcony, WABC reported.

The relationship between the woman and child is unclear and cops have not revealed any details on who allegedly threw them.

NYPD officers were seen entering the 18-story apartment complex amid the ongoing investigation.
