Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s final text conversations with Ken Urker before his tragic death revealed

Make Page Six a Preferred Source Gyspy Rose Blanchard’s final text conversations with Ken Urker were about their 1-year-old daughter, Aurora, before his shocking death last week.

When asked what their text exchanges were like in the weeks leading up to his death, a source close to the pair exclusively told us, “It was just normal — basically all about Aurora.”

We’re told Blanchard and Urker — who officially broke up a month ago — mostly communicated about co-parenting.

“She was talking more like a friend kind of level. Just co-parent level,” the source explained. “So it was like, ‘Hey, how’s your day going? Cool.'”

“It was not like, ‘Hey, what have you been up to?’ ‘What have you watched on TV last night?’ ‘Oh, we’re having this for dinner.’ It was not that kind of stuff. You know, it was just like, he’s not interested right now, so I’m just going to talk about the baby.”

The source explained that Blanchard, 35, avoided any flirting via text because she knew that Urker was struggling with his mental health, and while she wanted to get back with him, she also knew to give him space to heal.

“Once Gypsy accepted that [their relationship] was over is when she stopped the whole kind of relationship vibe,” the source said.

As Page Six exclusively reported, Blanchard and Urker were living separately when they officially called things off about a month before his passing.

“They both just amicably, a month ago, said let’s just leave it here, have our space, and see where we’re at,” our source told us last week.

We’re told it was an “amicable” breakup and there was nothing “nasty” between them.

We also hear the reason they ended things was due to Urker’s mental health battle.

“She missed him. She wanted him back, obviously, and he just wasn’t in the right frame of mind,” the source said of Urker. “His mentality of mental health wasn’t good for the past few months.”

“We all just wanted him to kind of get better and see if he would get some therapy. And she was just hoping that would be the outcome,” the source continued.

While they were no longer romantic with each other, they continued to stay in touch for the sake of their child,

“They were in touch every few days checking in on Aurora, ’cause she had her all the time, and they’d FaceTime,” the source said.

Urker and Gypsy met in 2017 while she was serving time in prison for the murder of her mom, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard. They got engaged a year late but broke up in 2019 and she married Ryan Scott Anderson in June 2022.

Gypsy and Anderson ended their marriage after two years and she got back together with Urker shortly after.

Urker was “found dead upon arrival” at his Louisiana home on his 34th birthday last Thursday, the Lafourche Parish Public Information Officer told Page Six.

Cops said they “found no evidence of foul play” but were “continuing the death investigation.”

A police report obtained by Page Six revealed Urker was found with drug paraphernalia and a gun at the time of his death.

“Deputies walked in the direction of the room and located paraphernalia (syringes and spoon) in the bathroom next to a brown powdery substance,” the report stated. “Deputies located a syringe and a handgun on the nightstand next to the bed.”

Shortly after news broke of his passing, Blanchard claimed in a social media post that Urker died of a suspected overdose.

“I can’t think. I’ve screamed until my throat burns,” she wrote in a statement. “Ken was an amazing father and a man who was deeply loved. He will forever be my soulmate and my red string, a connection that time, distance, and even death can never erase.”

Blanchard also claimed that Urker was struggling to deal with constant online harassment.

“Ken endured an unimaginable level of public scrutiny and relentless cyberbullying across social media platforms, including TikTok and Reddit,” she said. “The cruelty directed toward him was something no human being should have to endure.”

She followed up by urging fans to sign an online harassment petition and thanked her followers for their support as she continued to mourn his loss.
