Bills fans have new complaint about $2.2 billion stadium: ‘Morally wrong’

Make New York Post a Preferred Source The new Highmark Stadium is still not winning over some Bills fans.

First it was the obstructed sightlines within the new $2.2 billion stadium. Then it was the lack of free water supply within the concourse. Now, Bills Mafia is slamming the franchise for the size of the water cups and lack of water bottles.

There are several water bottle refilling stations throughout the stadium but fans questioned how useful they were as bringing personal bottles to the game is not allowed.

“The Buffalo Bills are the only stadium that doesn’t have access to water for every patron in the stadium,” a fan told WGRZ-TV, per The Sun. “And I think it’s legally questionable, I think it’s morally wrong, and I think it’s very dangerous for events like concerts.”

“But we have not changed the policy and feel that we provide fans with some good options while preserving our opportunities to sell water and beverages,” the organization told the station.

On Sept. 30, the Highmark Stadium X account posted a video showing how to utilize the water filling stations during a game. The person in the video goes to grab a plastic cup off of the counter at “Guest Experience,” fills it up and returns to their seat.

“This and similar should be allowed in, empty, to be filled with water inside. I will die on this hill,” a fan commented on X with an image of a Yeti water bottle with a Bills logo on it.

“Cup from a dirty counter, touched by dirty hands…at least have a cup dispenser,” another posted.

“Wow. There’s more condescension & mockery of the fans in this video than all the water in the bottles you’ve blocked from entering the stadium,” a third fan wrote. “Whomever made & approved this has no idea what it’s like to be a visitor to the stadium. They work there – which is very different.”
