Security guard signs modeling contract after working London Fashion Week

A security guard has secured a top modelling contract after stealing the spotlight while working at London Fashion Week.

Soufian Boucetta, 24, says he is used to attracting attention, so he didn’t think much of it when he was getting looks working security at the Simone Rocha show last month.

However, after getting home and looking at his phone, he realized that someone had posted a video of him on social media which had gone viral.

The post of Soufian standing by the door was captioned “Sorry Simone Rocha, the collection was amazing, but the security guy had the girls and the gays staring!”

After receiving over 900,000 views, the security guard from Camberwell, South London, says he received DMs from modelling agencies across the world.

He said: “I was standing there doing my job and a few people were looking at me, but I am used to this. I know that is going to happen, but I was just focused on my work.

“I didn’t know they were going to post me on Instagram. I finished my shift like nothing happened and came home to have a shower.

“I went online, and I saw so many people posting me and the video, and I was shocked. After that video, it was crazy. There were a lot of supportive people.”

Soufian says he received interest from Milan, Paris, and the United States, but he decided to stay closer to home and signed with PRM agency London.

The well-established boutique modelling agency ranks among London’s more prominent independent agencies and has signed models such as Agel Akol, Yilan Hua and Athiec Geng.

Soufian, who is originally from Spain, has already started practicing his catwalk and has done a few sessions of modelling for photos.

He added: “My life is very different. I am starting to really like modelling.

“My family are surprised. My parents and friends are excited to see me going forward. I am exploring a new world and showing them how I model.”

Soufian moved to the UK four years ago and started out in construction before moving to private security.

He has since protected many famous faces including Rihanna, The Rock, Jason Statham, and Aaron Pierre.

Throughout his life and career, he says people have been continuously telling him that he should be amodel, but he brushed it off.

Though he is still doing security on the side for the moment, Soufian says he sees a full-time career in modelling in the future.

He said: “I love my job and I love what I do. It is a new world and a new start in modelling. I am excited to meet people.

“My whole family are tall. Every time I go to the supermarket or to get the train, people say how tall I am. I am used to it now; it is normal.

“I was always told that I had a good face, I was tall, and I was thin. In one day I would have 15 people come tell me that I am handsome and I have to be a model.”
