Curious deer learns not to mess with a ‘hangry’ raccoon and its snacks

Make New York Post a Preferred Source A wide-eyed racoon with open paws convinced a Pennsylvania resident to share a snack with the cute critter, and when a curious deer wandered over hoping for a bite of its own, an unforgettable caught-on-camera viral snack standoff unfolded.

The raccoon scratched at Jenny Macbeth’s back door like a child in need.

Its plea was met with sympathy, and a bowl of kibble.

After chowing down alone for a few tranquil moments, the raccoon is approached by a curious deer hoping to join the feast.

But the “hangry” rodent wasn’t prepared to share.

MacBeth told Storyful, “The animals usually get along well, but this raccoon had a kit late in the season, so she was definitely ‘hangry’ and protective of her food.”

When the deer moved within reach for a taste, the cute critter transformed into a ferocious rodent in an instant.

The raccoon snapped like a lightning bolt, sending the startled animal back to its herd before finishing its feast with green grapes for dessert.
