Gypsy Rose Blanchard detailed her dream wedding with Ken Turker months before his death

Make Page Six a Preferred Source Gypsy Rose Blanchard envisioned a dream wedding with Ken Urker, months before his untimely passing.

“I don’t want to have a quick wedding; I want to have the big wedding,” Blanchard, 35, told TMZ in a May interview. “I want to have the poofy dress; I want to have the family there, because my first marriage, I got married in the visitation room by the bathroom of a prison.”

Urker and Blanchard started their relationship as pen pals in 2017, while she was imprisoned for the murder of her mom, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard. They got engaged in October 2018, but later split. She then married Ryan Scott Anderson in June 2022.

However, Blanchard, 35, and Anderson broke up two years later, and shortly after, she rekindled her relationship with Urker.

The couple shared a daughter, Aurora, born in December 2024.

Earlier this week, Urker tragically died at his Louisiana home on his 34th birthday.

He was “found dead upon arrival,” the Lafourche Parish Public Information Officer told Page Six in a statement.

Urker was found with drug paraphernalia and a gun at time of his death, according to a police report obtained by Page Six.

Page Six reported exclusively that Blanchard and Urker ended their relationship a month before his passing.

“They officially broke up about a month ago, but then they were living apart for about two months,” a source close to the pair shared, adding that they were “trying to work it out for a bit,” but parted on good terms.

“They both just amicably, a month ago, said let’s just leave it here, have our space, and see where we’re at,” the source said.

“It was nothing nasty…It was just a mutual agreement,” the insider noted. “They were co-parenting,” noting that Urker was the “best” father.

The couple reportedly split over Urker’s mental health challenges.

Blanchard broke her silence hours after Urker’s passing, telling People she doesn’t know if his death was “intentional or not.”

“He was not in a good state of mind lately,” Blachhard told the outlet. “I’m in disbelief. I can’t think. I’ve screamed until my throat burns.”

Urker’s sister, Autumn, has criticized Blanchard for allegedly lying about the details surrounding her brother’s death. Autumn also claimed that Blanchard had been telling people “they were engaged and planning baby number two,” but said neither was true.
