Make Page Six a Preferred Source Big Black, a former member of Howard Stern’s Wack Pack, has reportedly died at the age of 64.
The New York City Medical Examiner’s Office told TMZ on Friday that the radio personality — whose given name was Ronnie Benjamin — died from arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease.
The cause of death is considered natural and, per the outlet, the NYC Medical Examiner’s Office did not give further details on his death, including when or where it took place.
A rep for Stern did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment on Friday evening.
Benjamin, who was born in the Bronx, appeared on Stern’s show along with Lawrence Coward, whom the shock jock called the “King of All Black.”
The late radio personality was named a member of Stern’s famed Wack Pack in 2006 after appearing on the show multiple times for lengthy interviews.
According to the outlet, Benjamin was a member of Mensa — an elite league of high IQ individuals — and was known for his banter with Stern’s sidekick, Robin Quivers.
In 2011, he returned to Stern’s show after an absence of five years, telling the radio icon that he’d “been hanging in my bunker in the South Bronx.”

During the update, he revealed a brief gig working security at Yankee Stadium — but added that he went on unemployment and would continue collecting.
In order to “publicize” himself, Benjamin said he’d “been making YouTube videos” with the intent of getting “out there.”
He also memorably shared that he’d lost his virginity, rating the experience “about a 7 or so. Nothing really great.”
He shared that following the encounter, she’d refused a second date, giving him “kind of an excuse deal” at the time.
“Right now, I’d say I have no friends,” he said. He concluded the interview by declaring, “I hate the world, man. That’s how it is.”
Meanwhile, Stern — who has been battling toxic workplace claims by ex-assistant Leslie Kuhn — recently confirmed a lucrative deal with HBO Max to stream his show by condensing it into a series.
