Make California Post a Preferred Source The Los Angeles Rams are finally getting a break when it comes to injuries.
But this time, it’s at the cost of their Week 4 opponent, the Philadelphia Eagles.
On Friday, the Eagles announced they will take the field without wide receivers Devonta Smith and Hollywood Brown. They will also be without tight end Dallas Goedert, linebacker Zack Baun, and starting safety Marcus Epps.
The Eagles’ loss is only the Rams’ gain, as Los Angeles also announced they are carrying some weight from injuries.
Just two days after the Rams announced that wide receiver Puka Nacua was back with the team practicing, head coach Sean McVay took the podium before practice and announced the team will be without three-time Defensive Player of the Year winner Aaron Donald.
Donald, who is out with back soreness, has not had the post two-year retirement renaissance that he had hoped for.
He has yet to log a snap playing alongside Myles Garrett — who is on the team’s injured reserve due to a knee injury he suffered in Week 1 against the San Francisco 49ers. Donald has also only made four tackles this year, despite still being a factor in the team’s pass rush, as PFF has him ranked with a 74.8 grade.

For as great as Donald is, Sunday’s game was an opportunity to add to his resume.
Donald has logged a snap against every team in the NFC, except the Eagles.
The chance to add a snap against them will have to wait.
Aside from being without Donald, the loss of Smith was one the Rams’ defense needed, as they will be without starting cornerback Jaylen Watson for the foreseeable future, after he left last week’s second-half collapse, 30-26 loss against the Denver Broncos in the first half due to a dislocated right shoulder.
The Rams’ offense also took an extra blow, as tight end Terrance Ferguson has been placed on the IR due to a medial ankle sprain.
Before leaving in the second quarter last week, Ferguson looked like a promising piece for quarterback Matthew Stafford when he logged six receptions for 54 yards and a touchdown against the New York Giants in Week 2.
