Make Page Six a Preferred Source Gyspy Rose Blanchard and Ken Urker quietly broke up a month before his tragic death.
“They officially broke up about a month ago, but then they were living apart for about two months,” a source close to the pair exclusively told Page Six Friday.
The insider said Blanchard and Urker were “trying to work it out for a bit” but decided to end things “amicably.”
“It was nothing nasty…It was just a mutual agreement,” the source said, adding, “They were co-parenting.”
The source explained that they agreed to Blanchard taking care of Aurora, born in December 2024, on weekdays and that Ken “had her every weekend.”
“It was just totally normal, nothing ever weird about it,” the source said, calling Urker the “best” father.
We’re told Blanchard and Urker broke up due to his mental health struggles.
“She missed him. She wanted him back, obviously, and he just wasn’t in the right frame of mind,” the source said of Urker. “His mentality of mental health wasn’t good for the past few months.”
“We all just wanted him to kind of get better and see if he would get some therapy. And she was just hoping that would be the outcome,” the source continued.
Despite their breakup, they continued to stay in touch and remained very friendly with each other.
“They were in touch every few days checking in on Aurora, ’cause she had her all the time, and they’d Facetime,” the source said.
The source last spoke with Urker about two weeks ago to check in and make sure he was doing alright while coping with their breakup.
“I checked in on him two weeks ago, just saying, ‘Hey, just checking in. ‘Cause I know it’s a hard time for both of you.’ And he was like, ‘I love you to bits. I’m surviving right now. But thanks for checking in.'”
Urker was tragically found dead on his 34th birthday at his Louisiana home on Thursday.

He was “found dead upon arrival,” the Public Information Officer from Lafourche Parish told Page Six in a statement.
Authorities said they were “continuing the death investigation,” but that they have “found no evidence of foul play.”
Urker was found with drug paraphernalia and a gun at time of death, according to a police report obtained by Page Six.
Blanchard claimed that he died of a suspected overdose and responded to the heartbreaking news by sharing in a statement to People that she was “in disbelief.”
“I can’t think. I’ve screamed until my throat burns,” she said. “Ken was an amazing father and a man who was deeply loved. He will forever be my soulmate and my red string, a connection that time, distance, and even death can never erase.”
She also pointed to Ken struggling with extreme online bullying.
“Ken endured an unimaginable level of public scrutiny and relentless cyberbullying across social media platforms, including TikTok and Reddit,” she said. “The cruelty directed toward him was something no human being should have to endure.”
