Howard Stern dragged back into court battle by ex-assistant in hostile work environment case

Make Page Six a Preferred Source Howard Stern’s former assistant is doubling down on her claim that she never signed an NDA after losing a contentious court battle against the shock jock three months ago.

Leslie Kuhn filed to appeal a judge’s decision to toss her lawsuit against Howard, his wife, Beth Stern, and their companies in its entirety, according to court documents filed on Sept. 9 and exclusively obtained by Page Six.

According to the filing, the “purpose” of the appeal is to obtain declarations that a 2022 confidentiality agreement and 2025 non-disclosure agreement are “invalid and unenforceable so that she could freely discuss her employment in order to salvage her job prospects and reputation.”

Kuhn is asking a New York appeals court to overturn the July 29 decision that threw out her entire lawsuit against Howard and his co-defendants.

She claimed to have “credible evidence” undermining Howard’s side of the story.

Page Six reported in July that a judge rejected Kuhn’s claims that the radio host’s production company, One Twelve, had forged nondisclosure agreements in her name while she worked as Howard’s executive assistant until February 2026.

The court had obtained an email from Kuhn’s account that contained her electronic signature and read, “Signed NDA attached,” though she argued that her email had been hacked.

The judge called her forging claim a “bald assertion.”

Kuhn filed the initial lawsuit in April, asking a judge to make the NDA and confidentiality agreement unenforceable because she wanted to speak out about the alleged toxic work environment while under the couple’s employment.

The couple’s former executive assistant previously stated that she began working at the couple’s 20,000-square-foot Southampton mansion in May 2024 because Beth needed help managing house staffers and household operations. Kuhn was also allegedly tasked with helping to manage Beth’s “extensive at-home feline rescue and fostering operations.”

Kuhn claimed that she received a letter in December 2025 from Howard’s production company that she would be getting a raise to $265,000 and an $80,000 bonus the next year. However, she was fired this past February.
