Make Page Six a Preferred Source Dolly Parton’s nephew Bryan Seaver was reportedly arrested for assault over 25 years before he allegedly threatened the singer’s manager, Danny Nozell.
Seaver was taken into custody by police after an incident at a Nashville bar called Banana Joe’s on Oct. 6, 2000, according to a police report obtained by the Sun on Thursday.
The alleged victim reportedly told police that Seaver tried to “take a swing at him,” after Seaver was told he was at risk of being thrown out of the bar.
Seaver failed to punch the victim, the individual claimed, and he was arrested by cops.
The case was dismissed later that year, according to the Sun.
Page Six has reached out to Seaver’s rep for comment.
Seaver — the son of Parton’s sister Cassie — was fired from his longtime role as Parton’s head of security after the country music icon’s death in August.
Nozell subsequently filed a restraining order against Seaver, claiming Seaver has been trying to extort him for money and threatening him.
Parton’s manager accused Seaver of “invoking his self-proclaimed military-contractor experience, access to weapons, and capacity for violence” to demand money, according to court documents obtained by Page Six.
Additionally, Parton’s management company, She’s Alive, LLC, filed a lawsuit claiming Seaver has sent threatening texts to employees.
In the texts, Seaver allegedly called himself an “international arms dealer and mercenary” and said, “I’m a killer.”
The management company also claimed that after Parton died, Seaver warned, “Everyone needs to be worried about what I might do,” and vowed to “destroy the entire brand” and “ratf–k every entity.”

In a statement to TMZ, Seaver claimed the messages were taken out of context.
“Nothing in this lawsuit were threats and most of the comments I stand by,” he shared. “I was talking frankly in a private way with Danny who I thought was my friend and he fancies himself a gangster.”
Seaver also said he was “dismayed” by his firing, claiming there’s been “unexpected and, so far, unexplained actions” taken since Parton’s passing.
Parton’s death was announced by Seaver in an Instagram video on Aug. 25.
“As her head of security for more than two decades, a role my father Larry held before me, I have imagined the heaviness of this moment but haven’t truly felt it until now,” Seaver shared.
He also said the tragic announcement was “something Dolly asked of me years ago, before I fully absorbed it as a future reality.”
