You’ve got plenty of options arriving this week, from legal dramas like the new HBO Max series War, to reliable sitcoms like Scrubs, which is back with a new season. Are you a member of the Pugh Crew? Florence Pugh is starring in East of Eden, the new Netflix limited series based on John Steinbeck’s classic novel; Mike Faist and Christopher Abbott co-star in the sprawling epic. Every major streaming platform also just dropped tons of movies, most of them horror, so you can plan accordingly for all your spooky season viewing parties.

Not sure which new releases to check out? Let us here at Decider help you figure out what to watch this weekend and where to stream it.

This weekend marks the arrival of tons of great new shows. On HBO Max, the glitzy legal drama War is destined to be a hit; the show stars The Wire’s Dominic West and Siena Miller as a high-profile couple getting divorced — it gets pretty nasty. On Netflix, you can binge East of Eden, a new take on Steinbeck’s tale that was originally adapted to the screen by Elia Kazan and has been reimagined by his granddaughter, Zoe Kazan. And on Hulu, the new season of Scrubs is here; you can catch the two-episode premiere on demand now.

In Decider’s review of the new legal drama War, Meghan O’Keefe called the show “an utter delight. A high-end truffle designed to always leave you hungry for more.” In the new series, Dominic West and Sienna Miller play a tech mogul and a movie star engaged in a bitter divorce. Complicating things is the fact that they have each hired a ruthless team of lawyers to take each other down. War premiered on Thursday and is available to watch on HBO Max. New episodes arrive on Thursdays.

In the film version of East of Eden (and in John Steinbeck’s original novel), the story focused on the complicated relationship between the Trask brothers, a Biblical allusion to the story of Cain and Abel. In this retelling, Mike Faist and Christopher Abbott play Charles and Adam Trask, but the story gives more weight to the story of Cathy Ames, Adam’s wife, than previous versions. All seven episodes are out now.

The first season of the Scrubs reboot was a smash hit when it arrived last spring, and season two returned this week on ABC and Hulu. Episodes will arrive weekly on Wednesdays on ABC at 8 p.m. ET, but you’ll also be able to watch them next day on demand on Hulu and Disney+. You can also watch all nine original seasons of the show and season one of the reboot on Hulu, too.

The options above only scratch the surface, so you know that this weekend’s full lineup will have amazing options for what to watch this weekend!
