Make New York Post a Preferred Source Aaron Rodgers got heated during the Steelers’ “Thursday Night Football” matchup against the Browns.
Midway through the first quarter of Pittsburgh’s Week 4 matchup, Rodgers, 42, was seen screaming at the Steelers’ sideline before a play.
In what looked like a play-calling miscommunication between Rodgers and the sideline, the quarterback was heard on the Amazon Prime Video broadcast yelling “What the f–k. Call it” toward the bench.
The broadcast then panned to Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy, who seemingly responded to Rodgers over the headset, though it was unclear what exactly was said.
A few plays later, Rodgers was seen side-eyeing the Steelers’ bench, mumbling “f–k” after McCarthy called a play.

It appears that Rodgers and McCarthy — who is in his first season coaching the Steelers — have run into some communication road bumps to start the 2026 season.
When speaking to reporters following Pittsburgh’s 20-3 Week 2 loss to the Patriots, Rodgers seemingly took a shot at McCarthy.

The coaches know, so that we can call stuff that gives us a better chance.”
Ahead of the season, however, McCarthy said he and Rodgers were having positive communication after he arrived in Pittsburgh.
“Just like they always are, life, football, what’s going on at the facility,” McCarthy said of his communication with Rodgers this offseason, according to ESPN. “So he’s really engaged with what’s going on.
” … I would just say he’s in a very positive space. We’ll just continue to engage in conversations.”
