Megan Thee Stallion details alarming toll of Klay Thompson breakup

Make California Post a Preferred Source Recent comments Megan Thee Stallion made about her breakup with NBA star Klay Thompson are raising the alarm bells.

The American rapper and songwriter was interviewed by Marie Claire earlier this week and reflected on that tumultuous period of her life.

One day after claiming Thompson had been unfaithful through her Instagram story, Megan Thee Stallion performed in a “Moulin Rouge!” show. She was seen breaking down in tears while receiving a standing ovation after the show, which seemed like an emotional release of everything she was going through at the time.

She stopped her “Moulin Rouge!” performances a few weeks later, as she had dealt with scary medical issues that were the byproduct of her wearing herself thin, both physically and mentally.

Megan Thee Stallion admitted she wasn’t eating properly and was dehydrated during that time, which made showing up to the shows, “a little bit mentally not okay.”

Later in the interview, Megan Thee Stallion suggested that her breakup with Thompson — who signed a two-year, $13 million deal with the Miami Heat this offseason — factored into her health deteriorating at the time.

“I’m not pretending I’m 100 percent okay,” she said of the breakup. “I ain’t never been through nothing like that in my whole life. I’ve never, ever, ever been in a relationship like that, ever. So I’m definitely not worried about another one for a long time… It was so abrupt. I’m in shock still.”

She added, “When something is meant for you, it’s gonna be easy. It’s gonna be right. It’s not gonna feel like a panic all the time. I feel like that’s what I was in, constantly on edge. My nervous system needed to calm down. I feel like I was in a panic 24/7. I’m still not eating all the way right. I’m feeling all the feelings. I’m not trying to take no shortcuts.”

It still sounds like there are details Megan isn’t ready to speak about openly quite yet.
