Jim Carrey’s star-studded dating history before marrying wife Min Ah: Renée Zellweger, January Jones and more

Make Page Six a Preferred Source Jim Carrey had many high-profile relationships before his most recent marriage.

The comedian wed his longtime girlfriend, Min Ah, in a private ceremony around September 2026.

The union marks Carrey’s third marriage. He shares his only child, his daughter Jane, with his first wife, Melissa Womer.

As the actor enters his newlywed era, Page Six is taking a look back at all the leading ladies he previously romanced — including Linda Ronstadt, Renée Zellweger, January Jones, Jenny McCarthy and more.

The “Dumb and Dumber” star’s first public relationship was with singer Linda Ronstadt, who is 15 years his senior.

The pair dated for eight months in the early 1980s when Carrey was 21 and she was 36.

Carrey made a rare comment on their relationship during his 2020 appearance on “The Howard Stern Show,” addressing the misconceptions about their dynamic.

“It may have seemed like some boy-toy kind of situation to somebody looking at it from the outside, but she treated me with incredible respect,” he said of Ronstadt.

Carrey continued, “She loved my talent and respected my talent. We used to hang out together and she’d say, ‘You’re going to be where I am. You’re going to deal with all this stuff I’ve dealt with.'”

He described his relationship with Ronstadt as a “beautiful eight months,” adding, “We both knew it wasn’t going to be forever, but I have such respect for her. She’s just an incredible human being.”

In 1985, Carrey met Melissa Womer, an actress who worked as a cocktail waitress at The Comedy Store, where he often performed stand-up.

The pair started dating soon after and, in 1987, they got married while he was still trying to find his big break. They welcomed their daughter, Jane, later that year.

Once Carrey rose to fame with TV shows like “In Living Color” and films like “Ace Ventura: Pet Detective” and “The Mask,” it began to take a toll on their marriage.

They officially filed for divorce in 1993. After a contentious court battle, it was finalized by 1995.

During the filming of “Dumb and Dumber” (1994), Carrey began a romance with his co-star Lauren Holly while dealing with the end of his marriage to Womer.

Holly was initially hesitant to begin a romantic relationship with Carrey because of how closely they worked.

The two ended up dating for three years and got married in 1996. However, the couple filed for divorce less than a year later, in 1997, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

“When we got divorced, I had a really hard time,” Holly admitted on “George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight” in 2013. “Because no one ever really had the story right or anything… I was going through a heartbreak.”

Carrey moved on with another co-star, Renée Zellweger. The duo began dating in 1999 while on set of their film “Me, Myself and Irene.”

That same year, they announced their engagement, but announced their split the following year.

Carrey and Zellweger seemingly ended on good terms, as the “Truman Show” star spoke highly of her in 2020.

“She was special to me, very special. I think she’s lovely,” he said on “The Howard Stern Show.”

Carrey noted that he doesn’t regret their time together, and recognized that they had “a very important thing.”

In 2002, Carrey briefly dated actress January Jones, who is 16 years his junior.

Almost two decades later, the “Mad Men” alum shared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” that Carrey gifted her an autograph from her favorite actor, Robert Stack, for her birthday and it was the “best gift” she’d ever received.

Carrey struck up a romance with Danish fashion designer Anine Bing in 2004.

The brief fling was kept largely private, and neither Carrey nor Bing publicly commented on the relationship.

Carrey started dating actress Jenny McCarthy in 2005 — although the couple didn’t go public with their romance until the following year.

They revealed in 2008 that they had already started living together and successfully blended their families as they both had a child from a previous relationship.

However, they always maintained they didn’t want to get married.

After nearly five years together, the pair called it quits in 2010 and put out a joint statement.

The exes have remained close over the years, and McCarthy defended the actor after conspiracy theories broke out over his appearance in March 2026.

“He looked very happy at that award show, and I was happy for him,” she told People in April 2026. “That’s the first thing I noticed. I said, ‘Oh, wow, Jim looks really happy.’”

Carrey was briefly linked to former “America’s Top Model” contestant Anchal Joseph in 2011.

The two were spotted outside a Broadway theater in January of that year.

Neither of them have ever confirmed their relationship.

Several months later, the “Bruce Almighty” star was linked to the then-NYU student Anastasia Vitkina.

They made several public appearances together, including backstage at Broadway’s “Porgy and Bess” in April 2012.

The pair were also spotted on a beach in Malibu in September 2012, which marked one of their last public outings as a couple before parting ways.

In 2012, Carrey started dating Irish makeup artist Cathriona White, with the two then beginning an on-and-off relationship that lasted for three years.

The following year, White married Mark Burton while still dating Carrey on-and-off. They continued their romance until 2015, the year she died from a prescription drug overdose, later ruled as a suicide.

Carrey was a pallbearer at her funeral. However, Burton and White’s mother later filed wrongful death lawsuits against the actor.

He maintained that the suit was extortion, and it was ultimately dismissed in 2018.

Carrey went public with his “Kidding” co-star Ginger Gonzaga at the 2019 Golden Globes.

However, nine months later, news broke of their split.

Although the beginnings of their relationship is unknown, Carrey and Min Ah were first photographed together in February 2022 after leaving a charity comedy show hosted by Judd Apatow at Largo in Los Angeles, per People.

The pair made their public debut at the César Awards in Paris in February 2026, where the “Liar Liar” actor accepted an honorary award.

At the time, the “Sonic the Hedgehog” actor sat alongside his daughter and grandson, Jackson, at the ceremony.

During his acceptance speech, which he delivered in French, Carrey thanked his family before addressing Min Ah.

“Thank you to my wonderful family, my daughter Jane, and my grandson Jackson. I love you now and forever. Thank you to my sublime companion, Min Ah. I love you, Min Ah,” he said.

In September 2026 news broke that the pair had tied the knot in a small private ceremony in Los Angeles.
