Mamdani’s new plan to fight antisemitism: Letters to the Editor — Oct. 2, 2026

Make New York Post a Preferred Source New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani announces a $131.5 million enforcement action against DoorDash for systematic violations of New York City's Delivery Worker Laws at City Hall in New York, Sept. 22, 2026. MediaPunch / BACKGRID The Issue: The Mamdani administration’s new plan to combat antisemitism in New York City.

Zohran Mamdani, the antisemitic mayor of New York City, is shocked that the hatred of all things Jewish exists in his city. (“Zo’s half-hearted ‘hate’ war,” Sept. 30).

Had he looked in the mirror, the mayor would see that he is condemning himself, as he has been the biggest advocate for Jew hatred.

Not only does he believe that Israel should not exist as a Jewish state, he also wants to incarcerate Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Meanwhile, New Yorkers must wait three years before they can elect a mayor who would truly fight antisemitism.

Mamdani’s plan to prevent hate crimes in New York City is clearly not all-inclusive. By downplaying anti-Israel and anti-Jewish bias and hatred, the mayor has revealed his true self.

He is — and always will be — anti-Israel, in both his words and actions; it’s in his DNA.

There is an easy way Mamdani can help curb antisemitism: to resign from office.

Mayor Mamdani has created more antisemitism with his comments against Israel.

He has also failed on several other promises. He didn’t tax billionaires, and his “universal” child-care initiative invited just over 2,000 children. The city has a lot more than 2,000 3-year-olds.

Mayor Mamdani’s shallow initiative for protecting Jews is akin to putting the fox in charge of the henhouse.

The mayor’s lame visits to holiday sukkahs and quoting the Talmud do not substitute for his ongoing rhetoric against Israel and its supporters.

Mayor Mamdani, you can say any meaningless words to appease the Jewish community, but nothing can erase the vile posts that your wife liked after Oct. 7. It’s time to tell her to apologize to the Jewish community.

Stay out of Israeli affairs — they are none of your business. You have enough problems as you destroy New York City.

The Issue: Republican gubernatorial candidate Bruce Blakeman’s proposal to reduce New York income taxes.

Congratulations to Republican gubernatorial candidate Bruce Blakeman for his proposal to cut state income taxes. (“Blake: I’d hack your income tax,” Sept. 30).

A man of the people? Who knows. He is a politician, but I believe his desires to rescue New York are sincere.

Governor Kathy Hochul is the very definition of a corrupt politician. She makes former Governor Andrew Cuomo look respectable and honest.

Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman said he would cut taxes in Nassau County.

My two brothers live in Nassau County and their taxes went up. My taxes in New York City are much lower. And now Blakeman’s saying he will cut New York’s state taxes.

Until he can explain what else he will cut to make up for the lost revenue, this tax cut proposal is a fantasy.

Cuts that will never get through the state legislature don’t count. Passing revenue losses down to cities and towns doesn’t count either.

And unlike the tax cuts for the wealthy in President Trump’s Big Ugly Bill, the state can’t just print money or rob from Social Security/Medicare to fill budget holes.

Voting for Blakeman means bringing failed Trump policies closer to home.
