White Sox win first playoff series in 21 years. Get ALDS tickets now

After 21 long years without a postseason series victory, Colson Montgomery’s Chicago White Sox have advanced to the 2026 ALDS where they’ll take on José Ramírez’s Cleveland Guardians in a cutthroat best-of-five AL Central showdown.

Their win-or-go home series gets underway at Cleveland’s Progressive Field on Saturday, Oct. 3 with Parker Messick (12-9, 2.56 ERA) toeing the rubber for the Guardians. Chicago is yet to announce a starter but Davis Martin is a likely option for the ChiSox.

Later in the ALDS, two hypothetical games will take place at the White Sox’s home Rate Field. They’re scheduled to take place:

Game 3Wednesday, Oct. 7Game 4Thursday, Oct. 8

If you’d like to be there to root the Pope Leo XIV’s favorite club — he did write them a letter of support after all — live and in person, tickets are available as of today.

At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on seats for either game on the South Side was $156 including fees on Vivid Seats.

Prices start at $96 including fees for the three hypothetical games at Progressive Field.

And the youthful White Sox are raring ready to go.

“I can tell you right now that the group isn’t satisfied with this,” Sox manager Will Venable said.

That being said, Steven Vogt’s Guardians will be a formidable opponent for the ascendant, scrappy squad.

In 2026, the longtime rivals went toe-to-toe 13 times. Chicago secured the victory in seven of those contests.

Still, oddsmakers project the more seasoned Cleveland to be -145 favorites to take home the ALDS and advance to the ALCS against the Rays or Yankees.
