Beatles fans who can never have enough content about the fab four can look forward to a new Paul McCartney documentary, Man on the Run, coming to Prime Video later this month, after a limited run in select movie theaters.
Directed by Oscar-winning documentary filmmaker Morgan Neville (20 Feet From Stardom, Won’t You Be My Neighbor?), and executive produced by McCartney and Caitrin Rogers, Man on the Run takes viewers through the years directly after the Beatles broke up in 1969, when McCartney launched his solo career, and formed a new band with his wife, Linda McCartney, Wings.
Though it may seem hard to believe now, the documentary reveals a shocking vulnerability and insecurity felt by McCartney in his ability as a musician, without the famed partnership with John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. Today, we know Wings put out smash hits that stood the test of time, but that wasn’t so certain back in the 1970s. Fans of McCartney don’t want to miss it, so here’s what to know about when the Man on the Run documentary will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
Man on the Run will be playing in select movie theaters this weekend, starting on February 19. The film will have a very limited run in theaters before streaming on Amazon Prime Video at the end of the month. Man on the Run will be released on streaming on Friday, February 27 exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. The movie will be free to all Amazon Prime subscribers.
