How King Charles plans to ‘heal the rift’ between sons Prince William and Prince Harry: report

Make Page Six a Preferred Source King Charles III reportedly wants to “heal the rift” between Prince William and Prince Harry with a service to honor their late mother, Princess Diana.

The 30th anniversary of the late Princess of Wales’ death, notably, is next August — and the monarch, 77, has “raised no objection” to a Thanksgiving service for his ex-wife, per the Daily Mail.

Columnist Ephraim Hardcastle claimed Thursday that the service “would be similar to the 2007 one on her 10th anniversary at the Wellington Barracks Guards’ Chapel, where her favorite music was played and Harry delivered the eulogy.”

He noted that while the siblings “seem to have rejected any chance of working together,” a religious event could change the tides.

Another source told the outlet this possibility, which is reportedly being serioiusly considered, could potentially “bring the brothers together.”

The individual added, “This would be an inspirational way to remember Diana. William could celebrate his mother’s life by giving a reading.”

The insider called this option “far more dignified than” the Prince of Wales, 44, appearing in one of the many documentaries he has been asked to take part in.

Since Harry, 42, has made headlines for having one of his own in the works, any projects William participated in would “inevitably be portrayed as a rival to whatever Harry might make.”

However, royal journalist Tom Sykes insisted to Page Six on Thursday that a reunion between William and Harry is “just not gonna happen.”

Reps for Harry, William and Charles did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.

The feuding brothers, notably, have been estranged — and remain so even after Harry’s relocation to the United Kingdom in August with wife Meghan Markle and their two kids.

Royal expert Kinsey Schofield told Page Six last month that William has “washed his hands of” Harry.

“He has his own family to protect and his responsibilities as Prince of Wales,” she explained. “The Sussexes’ presence will always generate noise and distraction.”

William and Harry were last present at the same event in 2024 for their uncle Lord Robert Fellowes’ funeral in Snettisham, Norfolk — but we hear they did not speak.

Before that, the duo linked up to unveil a Kensington Palace gardens statue of Diana to honor what would have been her 60th birthday in 2021.

Harry expressed his wishes to reconcile with his family members in a May 2025 BBC interview, five years after he and Markle, 45, ditched the UK — and their royal roles.

“I would love reconciliation with my family. There’s no point continuing to fight any more, life is precious,” he said at the time, adding that he did “not know how much longer [his] father” would be around.

The Duke of Sussex has since reunited with Charles, who went public with his cancer diagnosis in early 2024, on multiple occasions.
