Make California Post a Preferred Source 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk was wrongly accused pretending to chug a beer during a touchdown celebration, which led to the NFL fining him $14,296.
One reason this fine was ironic is that Juszczyk seldom drinks. In fact, one of the only times he did so this year was at one of the year’s most famous weddings.
“I said the day after [getting fined], I don’t even really drink beer. Like, I drink maybe like five times a year in the offseason. But after I said that, I started thinking about it. I’m like, all right, there’s two common denominators of when I do drink alcohol,” Juszczyk said during an episode of Travis and Jason Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast.
“One of them I was in Bandon Dunes [Golf Resort] with Travis and George [Kittle]; I was at Tight End U with Travis and George. And I was at Travis’ wedding with Travis and George! So we’ve got some bad influences around here, man. They’re the ones that are leading me astray, I’m telling you.”
“We’re just having a good time!” Travis responded.
Juszczyk later joked that the many members of the 49ers’ roster and staff are calling him “Beer,” which is a departure from his usual “Juice” nickname.
Travis Kelce and Kittle, Juszczyk’s teammate, have both been known to enjoy a beer from time to time. And it sounds like all three of them indulged during Swift and Kelce’s wedding.
