Make New York Post a Preferred Source Patrick Clancy’s pregnant new wife Rachel Danis was spotted in the Big Apple Wednesday morning for the first time since the couple announced they plan to start a family.
Danis, a 37-year-old fertility specialist, was seen rolling around town on a Citi Bike with a baby bump — roughly three years after Clancy’s three young children were tragically strangled by his first wife, Lindsay Clancy.
Danis hopped on the bike near her Upper East Side home, wearing pink helmet and a loose-fitting while T-shirt.
Earlier this month, she and Clancy announced in an interview that they plan to have children and said they are excited to eventually tell them about Clancy’s slain first three kids.
Their interviewer, Ross Douthat of “60 Minutes,” later confirmed on “CBS Mornings” that Danis is already pregnant.
“I think every parent can agree, you have different relationships with your kids, but they’re all your kids. And I can’t wait to tell them about their brothers and sister,” Patrick said — hinting he plans to have more than one child with Danis.
Danis, a reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist Reproductive Medicine Associates of New York, has said she met Clancy running in Central Park.
The couple married last April, just a few months before Lindsay Clancy’s high-profile triple murder trial began in July.
During the trial, Lindsay Clancy, 36, claimed she shouldn’t be held responsible for killing her three young children because she was temporarily insane from postpartum psychosis.
She was accused of strangling the children — Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months — with exercise bands in the basement of their home in Duxbury, Massachusetts, while her husband was away running errands.
The case ultimately ended in a mistrial on Sept. 4.
