Make Page Six a Preferred Source Chad Lowe’s father, Charles “Chuck” Lowe, is honoring his late granddaughter, Fiona — just one day following the announcement of her death.
Chuck took to Instagram Wednesday to share a photo of his son Chad’s middle daughter smiling at the camera as she swam in a pool.
“Rest in peace, sweet Fiona,” he wrote in the caption.
Chad — the younger brother of actor Rob Lowe — and his family announced the death of 13-year-old Fiona Tuesday in a statement shared with Page Six.
“We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona,” the statement read. “She was a loving young girl who was smart, creative and loved to dance.”
“She was adored by her sisters, and she was deeply loved by her parents. In fact, she was the light of our lives,” they continued. “Her passing is devastating for our entire family, and we ask for prayers and privacy at this time.”
The statement concluded, “If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health, please reach out to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.”
In an email obtained by Page Six, parents at the school Fiona attended were notified by the principal Tuesday morning that a student had died.
The student was not identified in the email, which read, “It is with deep sadness that I am calling you to advise you of the death of one of our students. Our sincere condolences go out to the student’s family, friends and teachers.”
“Counselors are available to meet with students and staff who may need emotional support during this difficult time,” the email continued.

Chad, 58, shared Fiona with his wife of 16 years, Kim Painter. They are also parents to daughters Mabel, 17, and Nixie, 10.
Chad and Painter made their final red carpet appearance with Fiona — and her sisters — at the premiere of Marvel’s “Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur” on Feb. 4, 2023, in Burbank, California.
The family of five smiled for photographers, with Fiona wrapping an arm around her younger sister, Nixie, in one photo.
Chad described being a “girl dad” as a “privilege” during a December 2025 appearance on the “Still Here Hollywood” podcast.
“It’s so interesting because always wanting to have my own experiences and not live in the shadow or follow in the footsteps of somebody, I get the experience of being a girl dad, which is such a privilege,” the “Pretty Little Liars” actor said at the time.
“And I feel bad for anyone who’s a parent … I feel like having daughters is such an incredible privilege because it takes what I have known intellectually about women and all the equality and the glass ceiling that’s there and how it’s a misogynistic world in many ways,” he continued.
Chad concluded, “And now it’s taken what I’ve known and it’s put it in my heart because I now have three daughters. So I look at the world from, really, their perspective.”
