Make Page Six a Preferred Source Tom Brady’s biographer called a widespread narrative surrounding Tom Brady’s split from Bridget Moynahan “fiction.”
Lars Anderson, who authored “Brady: An American Story and the Price of Greatness,” delves into the topic of timing of the NFL great’s split from the actress and subsequent romance with supermodel Gisele Bündchen in the book — and he told Us Weekly in comments published Tuesday that after doing “the math,” the timeline “barely works in Tom’s favor.”
The quarterback, now 49, and Moynahan, 55, parted ways in December 2006 after nearly three years of dating.
By the time the “Sex and the City” actress informed the athlete she was pregnant with his child in February 2007, Brady was also involved with the Victoria’s Secret supermodel — and had been for two months.
Brady was criticized at the time for seemingly breaking up with the pregnant actress for an ultra high-profile romance with Bündchen.
However, that simply wasn’t the case, writes Anderson in an excerpt obtained by Page Six.
Brady went on his first date with Bündchen in December 2006 — and a certified obstetrics nurse told the author that Moynahan’s date of conception would have been in late November 2006, two weeks before his first date with the Brazilian bombshell.
Moynahan, writes Anderson, had been “heartbroken” by their holiday season split — and per the author, two months into Brady’s romance with Bündchen, he received a call from the “Coyote Ugly” actress as he vacationed in Paris with the model.
The news that Moynahan was three months pregnant set “ablaze a global media firestorm,” writes Anderson, “that turned their private dilemma into a public spectacle.”

Per the book, Bündchen “didn’t know what to do with the news,” and wondered if she shouldn’t encourage her new boyfriend to go raise a family with his former girlfriend.
Ultimately, Anderson writes, “the most famous supermodel in the world chose to stay with Brady as he was about to become the father to another woman’s child.”
Reps for Brady and Bündchen did not get back to Page Six for comment regarding Anderson’s biography, which hit shelves today. A rep for Moynahan did not not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Moynahan would go on to welcome the couple’s only child, Jack Moynahan — now 19 — in August 2007, while Brady and Bündchen tied the knot in 2009 in separate ceremonies in Los Angeles and Costa Rica.
The former couple welcomed son Benjamin Rein Brady, now 16, in December 2009, and daughter Vivian Lake Brady, now 13, in December 2012.Moynahan, Brady, and Bündchen appeared to have had an amicable co-parenting relationship throughout the years — but Brady and Bündchen’s relationship ultimately came to a grinding halt in 2022 after Brady announced his retirement from football, only to return to the sport for one more season before his 2023 retirement “for good.”
The former couple divorced that year after 13 years of marriage, with sources telling Anderson in the biography that Brady lost nearly 20 pounds as the drama played out, per an excerpt originally obtained by the Daily Mail. The book also claims both Bündchen and Brady made attempts to save the marriage, with the model writing a letter to the football star pleading for more time, attention and support for her career amid his own.
Brady, meanwhile, was said to have attempted to save the marriage with a last-ditch trip to the Bahamas with Bündchen — which he left the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ 2022 training camp to make happen.
Despite the 11-day trip, Bündchen was said to have declared to a devastated Brady, “We’re not compatible,” before ending the marriage.
“And just like that, she was done,” an insider says in the book.
