Stanton’s stunning return to the active roster gives the Yankees a terrific postseason performer (.605 slugging and .926 OPS in October), a late-game, leverage at-bat and perhaps even slightly mitigates the unfortunate loss of the great Aaron Judge for at least the first round, at least emotionally.
“It’s going to be good. I’ll help the team any way I can,” Stanton told The Post. “It’s the most exciting time of the year.”
