Make New York Post a Preferred Source A violent pair bashed a man in the head with a gun before swiping his luxury watch and a bundle of cash outside an East Village dive bar early Tuesday, cops said.
The duo — both strangers — approached the victim around 3:20 a.m. in front of Josie’s Bar on East 6th Street near Avenue A and yanked on his fanny pack, police said.
One of the muggers then pulled out a gun and hit him over the head multiple times, leaving him bloody, authorities said.

The battered victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.
The suspects fled in a white vehicle and had not been caught several hours later, according to police.
The heist happened in the confines of the NYPD’s 9th Precinct, where robberies are down by about 37 percent so far this year, according to data last updated Sunday.
The statistics show 58 robberies reported within the precinct’s boundaries during that time period, compared to 92 within the same span in 2025.
