After performing 48 (!) shows with Dead and Company in Sin City from 2024-25, the seven-time Grammy winner announced he’ll return for six more at Las Vegas Sphere in April 2027.

“Meet me where the light is,” Mayer, 48, shared on Instagram. “I’ll be playing six nights at Sphere- solo, full band and trio [with Steve Jordan and Pino Palladino].”
A press released added “these performances will combine immersive sound, visual spectacle, and sensory feedback to make each show a unique, unforgettable celebration.”
While we don’t know exactly what songs the legendary singer-songwriter is planning on taking to the stage by his lonesome, with his band or John Mayer Trio, it’s likely he’ll trot out fan favorites “Gravity,” “Your Body Is a Wonderland,” “Daughters,” “Slow Dancing in a Burning Room” and “New Light.”
Prior to the six-show stint, the Bridgeport, CT native has a pair of East Coast shows lined up this fall.
Up first is Buddy Guy’s 90th birthday celebration at NYC’s Radio City Music Hall on Thursday, Oct. 1. He’ll be joined by other special guests Eric Clapton, Jon Batiste and Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top at the one-off gig.
After that, Mayer is slated to headline Uncasville, CT’s Mohegan Sun Arena on Friday, Oct. 9.
Tickets for the newly-announced Sphere concerts officially go on sale to the general public on Friday, Oct. 9 at 10 a.m. PT through Ticketmaster but are available now on trusted secondary market sites like Vivid Seats.
