CloseAndy Burnham has said the government will end the pensions "triple lock" in an emotional speech at his first Labour conference as prime minister.
Reflecting on the recent death of his father, Burnham set how he was determined to honour his memory by creating a new national care service funded by savings from pensions from 2030.
He also announced a plan to end the ban on water companies being owned publicly and a proposal to change the UK's electoral system.
The BBC's Jack Fenwick explains how the big announcements were received by Labour MPs and members in Liverpool.
