It’s safe to say history isn’t on the Dodgers’ side, but the team has proven it can beat the odds even in the most unlikely of situations. Let’s not forget about the thrilling World Series Game 7 against the Blue Jays, where it seemed like the Dodgers were out for the count, until they weren’t.
The 2025 campaign also proved the Dodgers’ regular season is merely a pretext to what really matters for LA, the postseason. For much of the regular season last year, the Dodgers struggled even down the stretch.
LA failed to secure a first-round bye in the playoffs and the team didn’t have home field advantage for any series in October. And yet, the Dodgers won the 2025 World Series.
Thus, there’s hope that while history says the Dodgers won’t hoist the Commissioner’s Trophy after winning 100 regular season games, the back-to-back World Series champions can still beat the odds.
