Joy Behar ranted against President Trump on The View after the hosts kicked off yet another day of discussing the growing tension in Iran.
After sharing a video of Trump claiming the war will be over “soon,” Whoopi Goldberg asked her co-hosts what they thought about the “mixed messages” Trump has been sending about the war.
Behar was the first to chime in with an impassioned rant that earned the applause of the live audience.
“I feel like we’re living in the reign of terror,” she began. “Am I the only one here to remember the French Revolution?”
She continued, “I really feel like everyday, I wake up and he has created more chaos, more misery around the world. The economy is going down the toilet, gas prices are going through the roof. World economies are suffering.”
Behar later took aim at Republicans, telling viewers, “We’re in the middle of this and I feel like we’re pretty much helpless to do anything because the Republican party will not stand up to this fool.”
Sunny Hostin also criticized the president for going forward with this war, which she claimed is estimated to cost Americans $1 to $2 billion a day.
“While using this money to wage a war – which is a regime change war – the people who voted for him wanted America first. Put America first and homelessness,” she said. “Why are gas prices in California $8 a gallon?”
The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
