Judge Brian Keith says court cannot simply replace outgoing juror, according to legal precedent, and new jury will be empanelled on Wednesday

Deputy Judge Brian Keith informed the seven men and two women on Monday that he had accepted the unidentified member’s request and decided that a new panel must be formed to ensure the jury selection complied with legal precedent.
The prosecution was originally scheduled to present its opening statement on Monday, giving investigators’ account of the 28-year-old’s death and the disposal of her body in a Tai Po village house in February 2023.
