On a recent episode of his Radio Andy show, Andy Cohen Live!, Cohen shared that he took Rose, Conover, and Kroll out to dinner at San Vicente Bungalows, a private club in New York City.

“They sit down, and immediately they are wild. They start getting into it about something, and I go, ‘You guys,'” Cohen said, describing the dining room at San Vicente Bungalows as “elegant and sophisticated,” unlike his guests’ behavior. “I go, ‘You guys. Bring it down.’ And Austen’s like, ‘Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. We gotta be quiet. You guys, come on. We gotta be quiet.'”

They were soon joined by Mayer, who happens to be a close friend of Cohen’s. According to the Watch What Happens Live host, the “Gravity” singer was asking them questions about Southern Charm, which he had never watched before.

“John’s like, ‘Do you share a house together on the show?’ John’s trying to figure out what it is,” Cohen said. “Craig is like, ‘Well, they film it like a movie.’ And I’m like, ‘What? They film it like a movie?’ There was a lot of misinformation coming around. It was just so funny. He was trying to figure it out.”

About an hour into their dinner, Kroll turned to Mayer and asked what he thought about him and his friends. Per Cohen, Mayer told him they had “the most chaotic energy” he had ever been around. “He said, ‘I do not understand your speech patterns.’ He goes, ‘I’m not disinterested … but I don’t understand your rhythms,'” Cohen recalled.

View this post on Instagram Mayer wasn’t the only A-lister to crash their dinner. Cohen shared that Julia Roberts and Diane Sawyer were seated at the next table, and when they stopped by on their way out to say hello, the Southern Charm men were starstruck.

“I say to them, ‘Hey, guys. I want you to meet my friend, Julia.’ They all turn around. There is Julia Roberts,” Cohen said. “I will give it up to them. They are such Southern gentleman. They all three stand up as quickly as they can, rise to bow to royalty, which they do. And then Diane Sawyer blows them away, and she says to each of them, ‘I’m Diane Sawyer.’”

Speaking to Conover and Kroll’s turbulent dynamic, Cohen said the two men are “able to be around each other,” but their relationship is “more than fraught.” Fortunately, they were able to pull it together and be (mostly) on their best behavior for their swanky night out with Cohen and his celebrity pals!
