Make Page Six a Preferred Source “The Madison” star Elle Chapman says the atmosphere on set of “American Horror Story” was a bit more relaxed than that of Taylor Sheridan’s series because the creator is very set in what he wants.
Chapman, 27, plays Paige McIntosh, a spoiled Park Avenue socialite forced to adapt to life in Montana with her family, which includes her mom, played by Michelle Pfeiffer, on “The Madison.”
She’s also showing off her acting chops by appearing in the upcoming 13th season of “American Horror Story” as a character named Ashley.
The actress told Page Six exclusively at the FX series premiere in New York earlier this week, that on “AHS,” she “really got to lean into humor.”
She added, “I tap into [humor] a little bit on ‘The Madison,’ but on this one I really got to play, and the writers were on set, and they let me bring my own direction, and it’s very collaborative.”
Chapman was quick to add that ‘The Madison’ is also collaborative, “But I think Taylor is a little more strict on … he knows what he wants.”

She agreed that the worlds created by Taylor Sheridan and “AHS” honcho Ryan Murphy are “very different,” but “I think that’s what the gift was.
“I learned so much on ‘The Madison’ because of the audience it caters to, because of the crew.”
Chapman noted that the two producers share something in common in that they both have “the same crew every season, working on the same projects…it’s a different family and a different audience.”
She gushed over working on “AHS,” calling it “a dream come true.
“This show means so much to so many people, and I feel so honored to be able to join the franchise. I’m so grateful to Ryan Murphy for allowing me to play such a fun, new character that I’ve never had the opportunity to play.”
Other celebs at the splashy premiere included Jessica Lange, Angela Bassett, Paul Anthony Kelly, Billie Lourd and Leslie Grossman.
