Make Page Six a Preferred Source Maren Morris is sharing photos from her healing journey.
In a recent Instagram post, the 36-year-old country singer revealed photos from her recent trip to Bali, telling her followers she’s “not healed but healing.”
“Thank you @rachelbeauregard + @hotyogaeastnashville for the most beautiful journey to Bali with so many new friends for life,” she wrote in the caption. “And it’s not over yet :)”
One of the photos featured Morris showing off her toned abs in a black string bikini, as she stood on a deck with lounge chairs behind her, with a drink in her hand.
Others showed her taking part in a group meditation, standing under a waterfall, being silly with her friends and other snaps from her trip.
“She’s thrivinggggggg (and surviving),” one fan wrote in the comments section. Another added, “So happy to see this journey for you 🥹.”
Morris shot to stardom in 2016 with the release of her breakthrough song “My Church,” which led to her debut album, “Hero,” which also featured hits such as “80’s Mercedes,” “I Could Use a Love Song” and “Rich.”
She has since released four studio albums, including “D R E A M S I C L E,” “Humble Quest” and “Girl,” and has received 17 Grammy Award nominations, with one win.
While it is unclear what she is healing from now, she spoke to People in August 2025 while promoting “D R E A M S I C L E,” about how the album was very personal, as it dealt with her sexuality and how she made it through her divorce from her ex-husband Ryan Hurd.
“It’s just cool; it’s a very intimate record, very vulnerable, not the easiest to make — so the fact that people are receiving it this well and healing from my healing is really special, to get to see the live form of that that place now.”
As an outspoken liberal, she also spoke about how her mental health has suffered due to her being “so deeply concerned and uncomfortable with the weird status quo of country music,” in a TikTok she shared in January.
Morris shared that she doesn’t attend very many award shows anymore, saying they have become “dicey” since the political atmosphere of country music has changed after President Trump’s first term in office.
“I’ve lost a lot of fans over the years because of my viewpoints and I think that’s fair,” Morris said. “If you don’t agree with me, and you can’t enjoy my music because of my viewpoints, you are absolutely allowed to do that.”
Morris has received criticism for her political views in the past, and in 2024 was told she should be arrested after she took her young son to a drag show.
After getting backlash, she defended herself during an appearance on “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” telling the host the drag show her son attended was “family friendly.”
“I think it’s just such an amazing expression of artistry, and so I just think like normalizing it and making it seem like these are just people that love dressing up, too, is an amazing thing,” she said. “It was an all-ages show, so it was completely family-friendly.”
