Cue People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, no slouch in the left-wing lunacy department, to weigh in as the voice of reason: “Political affiliation is not a reliable measure of whether someone will be a good guardian,” the outfit notes. “Shelters and rescues exist to protect animals, not to serve as political gatekeepers.”
PETA is entirely right (yes, we just wrote that!), but the group predates these days of the unicause, when a crowd protesting data centers just naturally waves a Palestinian flag, too.
“Woke” is an all-encompassing agenda, a totalizing politics of racial, class, creedal and tribal resentments.
Fall short on any front and you’re the enemy, or at least in need of denunciation and re-education — a la the poor owner of that Massachusetts lesbian bar who in hopes of getting more customers relaxed its mask mandate (in 2026!), only to win a struggle session slamming the racism, ableism and so on of the move.
And it’s not just wokies who fall short who pay.
Remember Emmanuel Cafferty, the Latino electric-company worker who lost his job at the height of Floyd-mania because some psychotic California busybody photographed him at a stoplight with his hand loosely hanging out the window?
The snitch claimed Cafferty was making the OK sign, a gesture wokies were then insisting is a “white power” signal.
Recall, too, how lefty radicals murdered a young black man, Alzonzo Mays, for daring to drive near their “occupied zone” on Seattle’s Capitol Hill.
Americans, in fact, have noted this; hence the politicians’ efforts to distance themselves from the madness.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez echoed City Councilman Chi Ossé’s “Woke 1 was craaaazy” shrugoff, a line that’s not really an apology for anything except being imprudently in-everyone’s-face with the toxic lunacy.
Far-left Texas Senate candidate James Talarico offers “I missed the mark” excuses for his sermonizing about God being nonbinary and the six biological sexes and his all but spitting on our nation’s flag. (Never mind that his own pastor says Talerico is only telling tactical lies.)
Michigan candidate Abdul El-Sayed pretends to barely know his buddy Hasan Piker and blurs about supporting “freedom” as he refuses to condemn Tehran’s tyrants.
The “craaazy” still dominates the party poised to take over Congress; they’re just keeping it under wraps until after you’ve voted.
Watch out: They were relentless in imposing this deranged agenda during Woke 1, and Woke 2 won’t be any different.
