Make New York Post a Preferred Source Jayden Reed’s fiancée provided an encouraging update on the Packers receiver following his frightening neck injury against the Jets.
Aneisha Cox, who got engaged to Reed in July, shared an update on TikTok after Reed was taken off the field on a stretcher and hospitalized following Green Bay’s 20-17 overtime victory Sunday.
“Jayden is doing very good,” said Cox, who was also Miss Wisconsin USA for 2025. “It’s 100 percent a day-by-day type of recovery.”
On the seriousness of the sport, Cox noted that injuries are simply unavoidable.
“Unfortunately, it’s a matter of when, not if,” Cox said in her video.

After Reed suffered the injury, Cox searched for the fastest flight out of Appleton, Wis., where a connecting flight via Detroit eventually got her to New York.

Reed was injured on just the second offensive play of the game.
The 26-year-old caught a bubble screen from Jordan Love and gained 4 yards before taking a hard, helmet-to-helmet hit from veteran Jets linebacker Demario Davis.
Reed remained on the turf, barely moving as medical personnel immediately came onto the field.
He was eventually placed onto a stretcher and carted off the field as play was halted.
Reed was transported to a local hospital and remained there overnight for an in-depth evaluation.
Packers coach Matt LaFleur said afterward that Reed had movement in all of his extremities.
Reed later offered his own encouraging update on X.
“Doing much better, appreciate all the prayers and support,” Reed wrote.

Bill Kostroun for NY Post As far as his return, that’s up in the air, although Reed sat out during the team’s “Thursday Night Football” loss to the Falcons.
“It’s way too early for that right now,” LaFleur said of Reed’s status following the injury. “He’s just got a lot. There’s a lot going on.”
Reed has flashed game-breaking potential in his career, but the fourth-year veteran was limited to seven games last season after suffering a broken collarbone in Week 2 against Washington.
View this post on Instagram Reed underwent surgery and missed 10 games before returning in December, finishing 2025 with 19 receptions for 207 yards and one touchdown.
That came after a breakout 2024 campaign in which Reed led Green Bay with 857 receiving yards, catching 55 passes and scoring six touchdowns.
He also added 163 rushing yards on 20 carries and another score on the ground.
Reed opened this season with three catches for 20 yards against Minnesota.
He signed a three-year, $50.25 million extension this past April, which would cement him as part of Green Bay’s long-term offense plans.
