Netflix is dropping a few highly anticipated titles, including the dramatic thriller UNABOMBER, as well as the A Different World reboot and the new season of The Great British Baking Show. A new season of American Horror Story has just arrived to Hulu, and if you haven’t already seen the much-talked-about Kane Parsons film Backrooms, it’s streaming on HBO Max starting today.

It was hard to narrow down one which new releases to highlight this week since there are so many good ones, but we decided to focus on three titles offer the most thrills possible. The new Netflix original UNABOMBER weaves together two timelines in the life of terrorist Ted Kaczynski, a.k.a. the Unabomber, the time he spent as a student at Harvard, and the mid-1990s during the manhunt where he was eventually captured. Over on Hulu, American Horror Story: 13 is an all-star season of Ryan Murphy’s show, reuniting many of his collaborators into a mega-season full of familiar characters. And on HBO Max, you can catch one of the most popular movies of the year, Backrooms, the creepy thriller starring Chiwetel Ejiofor as a furniture store owner who gets trapped in the seemingly infinite and surreal liminal space in his store’s basement.
In Netflix’s UNABOMBER, Jacob Tremblay stars as a young Ted Kazcynski, the man who would eventually become a domestic terrorist responsible for the deaths of three people. In the film, wer’re introduced to Kazcynski when he’s a child prodigy who enrolls at Harvard, only to be subjected to controversial psychological experiments by Professor Henry Murray (Russell Crowe). The film weaves together two timelines, these formative years at Harvard and the 1995 manhunt that led to Kazcynski’s capture. Shailene Woodley and Annabelle Wallis co-star in the new film which is out now.
All of Ryan Murphy’s most loyal collaborators have returned for a new season of American Horror Story. The first three episodes of this new season (which is called 13, happens to be the 13th season, and will consist of 13 episodes) are out now on Hulu. Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Jon Waters and many more will appear.
Kane Parsons directed one of the biggest hist of the year, Backrooms, which makes its way to HBO Max this weekend. The film, about a furniture store owner who is lured into a mysterious labyrinthine maze of rooms hidden in the basement of his store, stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Renate Reinsve, and Lukita Maxwell.
