Clark and his girlfriend, Emily Tanner, posted stunning photos to Instagram in Chicago ahead of the tournament. Some flicks even included the gorgeous couple posing with the Presidents Cup golf trophy, which weighs 28 pounds and is crafted entirely in 24-carat gold vermeil over sterling silver.
View this post on Instagram Clark represents one of the top 12 players from the United States who are set to face 12 international stars (excluding Europe) in the Presidents Cup. The tournament kicks off Thursday on the No. 3 Course at Medinah Country Club, just outside of Chicago.
World No. 1 Scottie Sheffler and Sam Burns take on Min Woo Lee and Sunjae Im to open the Presidents Cup. Meanwhile, Clark and Collin Morikawa will tee off at 1:29 p.m.
Clark has been at the center of controversy since he damaged two lockers in the men’s locker room at the 2025 U.S. Open at Oakmont. Pictures of the damage went viral and Clark was banned by the club for his actions.
Clark could win fans over with a strong performance representing the red, white and blue over the weekend. He’s played some of the best golf of his career in 2026, earning his second U.S. Open title.
But the Presidents Cup may be a pivotal turning point for Clark’s public perception.
