Penix Jr. is taking the ball, and he will look for a wide variety of options. The Falcons are led in receptions, targets, and yards by their running back Bijan Robinson, instead of a wide receiver. For more traditional receivers, Drake London is looking for his first touchdown of the season, but he has hauled in six of his 10 targets for a total of 80 yards. Kyle Pitts only has one reception this season, and just four targets. He needs to be more involved in the offense. Perhaps that will happen now that Penix Jr. is playing instead of Cooper Rush.
Love has done a nice job of spreading the ball around as he really doesn’t have a traditional primary receiving option. Christian Watson and Matthew Golden have both caught 10 receptions this season. The two receivers have been targeted about equal amounts of times. Watson has three touchdowns, and MarShawn Lloyd, the running back, has one receiving touchdown. Tucker Kraft has been a nice security blanket for the Packers, catching five of nine targets for 80 yards.
