Add Page Six on Google Frankie Muniz sparked concern after a series of cryptic social media posts that Page Six can confirm is about his struggling NASCAR career and ongoing divorce.
“He hasn’t done well in racing this year,” a source claimed to Page Six. “He’s struggling in the truck series, but he’s done well in another racing series.
“I think a lot is up in the air around his NASCAR career which has always been his dream since he was a child.”
The “Malcolm in the Middle” star took to Instagram on Friday to share that the last six weeks of his life have been a “nightmare” he’s praying to wake up from.
“Everything felt heavy, unclear, and like it was falling apart at the same time,” said Muniz. “I wouldn’t wish this season on anyone.”
Muniz’s race car career began in 2004 when he participated as a celebrity contestant before joining the professional open wheel series from 2006-2009. He returned to racing again in 2021, making his Craftsman Truck Series debut in 2025.
On July 1, Muniz announced he was splitting from Price after a decade together. They share a son, 5-year-old, Mauz.

According to the source, the toll of the fallout from the end of his marriage has also contributed to the “rock bottom” place Muniz referred to in his post.
“He’s getting a divorce and he was trying to keep it cordial,” the source shared. “He lives in Arizona and he would fly to Concord from Arizona in the morning, so he’d leave there at like 3a.m.”
“Then he’d go to the [NASCAR] simulator, the shop, then he’d fly all the way back to Arizona and get home late at night, and he’d do that maybe twice a week, before traveling for the races. And then he had to go film ‘Malcolm in the Middle.’
“I think it was all a lot for him and contributed to his marriage falling apart. He did a lot to try and make it work for her.”
Following Muniz’s post, Price shared her own cryptic message about perspective
“Life is all about perspective. If you ask the grass, the zebra is the monster and the lion is the protector,” she shared on social media Friday, alongside a video of herself making a wax seal.
Price and Muniz were married in Feb. 2020, following their 2018 engagement.
Muniz’s next race is the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event at Kansas Speedway next Saturday.
A rep for Muniz did not respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
