Add Page Six on Google Harvey Weinstein was sentenced to 15 years in prison on Wednesday, after being convicted for sexually assaulting former “Project Runway” production assistant Miriam “Mimi” Haley in 2006.
The 74-year-old disgraced movie mogul appeared in a downtown Manhattan courtroom in a wheelchair when he learned his fate, according to The Post.
Prosecutors wanted Weinstein to get 20 years behind bars, while his lawyers asked for a nine-year sentence, per the New York Times.
Weinstein’s sentencing will be followed by five years of supervised release and a requirement that he register as a sex offender.
Judge Curtis Farber reportedly told Weinstein, “You took what you wanted by force, and you have never accepted responsibility.”
Weinstein addressed the court, denying the allegations, while apologizing to “anyone I may have hurt by my actions,” according to NBC News.
“I am not a perfect person, but I am a person who has made mistakes,” he reportedly said, before insisting, “I am not a violent man.”
Haley, 49, attended the hearing with her lawyer, Gloria Allred, and read a victim impact statement aloud in the courtroom, saying Weinstein “abused his position and power” and caused a “devastating effect on my life and security.”
“It is a life sentence for me,” she added, per NBC News.
Weinstein was accused by Haley of sexually assaulting her at his SoHo loft in 2006.
The ex-Miramax boss was initially found guilty of the crime following a trial in Manhattan Supreme Court in 2020. He was sentenced to 23 years in prison.
However, that ruling was overturned four years later by the New York Court of Appeals with a 4-3 vote.
It was reportedly decided at the time that testimonies from “prior bad acts” witnesses should not have been allowed because it “was unnecessary to establish defendant’s intent and served only to establish defendant’s propensity to commit the crimes charged.”
Following a second trial with a new judge, Weinstein was found guilty of sexually assaulting Haley in Manhattan Criminal Court in June 2025.

Haley took the stand during the 2025 retrial and tearfully recounted the 2006 attack.
She alleged that Weinstein had a driver pick the then-29-year-old up from her apartment and take him to his pad — where he allegedly almost immediately “lunged at” her, trying to kiss her as they sat on his sofa.
“I rejected him and he kept persisting, trying to kiss me,” Haley told the courtroom.
“I was trying to get him off of me. I was trying to push him away from me. I was trying to get him to stop kissing me and grabbing me,” she described, claiming Weinstein then “forcefully” performed oral sex on her.
“I don’t remember all that much from the moment,” she said. “I decided to check out.”
Weinstein — who has been battling health issues — is currently locked up at Rikers Island while serving a 23-year sentence on a separate California sexual assault conviction.
He has consistently pleaded not guilty to all criminal charges and denied he raped or sexually assaulted anyone.
