Travis Kelce reacted to Taylor Swift’s viral “that’s my husband!” moment at his NFL game Sunday, telling “New Heights” listeners Wednesday that he’s “gotta make [his] girl proud.”
The athlete, 36, quipped, “Just doing my deed as a husband. … The internet is having a good old time with this s–t.”
The Kansas City Chiefs player, additionally, reacted to a variety of memes of his pop star wife, also 36, cheering for his Arrowhead Stadium touchdown and pointing at her wedding ring.
“Me when my husband actually finds all the right stuff at the grocery store,” one read, with another comparing Swift to how a person should “react when [their partner] fix[es] the WiFi by plugging it out and back in.”
In a third, an X user wrote, “My CEO neurosurgeon wife watching me shotgun a beer under 3 seconds.”

Swift’s headline-making celebration was, notably, in response to Kelce’s first touchdown of his 14th season.
The “Bad Blood” singer, who wed Kelce in July, watched his Missouri-based team beat the Indianapolis Colts over the weekend in a red Chiefs tank top designed by Erin Andrews.
She sat in an Arrowhead Stadium suite with her parents, Scott Swift and Andrea Swift, and her mother-in-law, Donna Kelce.
During the Chiefs’ first game a week prior, Taylor watched with Tom Cruise.
The actor, 64, subsequently appeared on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and praised the Grammy winner for having a “great sense of humor” and “schooling [him] on football.”
The “Digger” star told viewers Taylor “knows her stuff,” adding, “She’s a genius. I’ve been following her since she was a kid.”
When Cruise shared a similar sentiment on “New Heights” on Friday, Kelce agreed.
“She knows everything,” he said during the episode. “She sees the flags coming in, like, ‘Oh, that might be a defensive hold.’ Like, ‘What’d you say, sweetie?’ She’s like, ‘That’s encroachment.’ I’m like, ‘You know what that is?’
“She’s on it now,” he continued. “She got fully engulfed in it.”
