Ciara Miller tapped into her personal life for her latest “Dancing With the Stars” routine.
The reality star and her pro partner, Brandon Armstrong, performed a Tango to “No Broke Boys” by Disco Lines & Tinashe on Tuesday night’s episode — an episode themed to “Viral Hits,” or songs which have taken the internet by storm.
Miller’s routine is seemingly a direct comment on the drama that catapulted “Summer House” Season 10 into the national spotlight, where her ex-boyfriend, West Wilson, had a secret relationship with her now-former best friend, Amanda Batula.
“One time a broke boy ruined my life — or he tried. But we’re here tonight, so it didn’t work,” Miller told co-host Julianne Hough of the inspiration behind the song choice.
In a pre-recorded package ahead of their routine Miller said judge Carrie Ann Inaba telling her she could “see the pain” within her was “so special” to her.
“I’ve been fighting seven years on reality TV to be seen without people calling me so dramatic. I’m not the type of girl that loves to talk publicly, so this is such a display of vulnerability, and that’s frightening,” Miller added of her “DWTS” journey so far.
“Last week was very vulnerable and this week has me feeling braver,” Miller said, of how she’s grown since last week’s premiere, noting that she’s excited to show the audience “a different side of [herself].”
While Miller’s pre-recorded package played, she continued rehearsing with Armstrong while ignoring the footage and, as soon as the routine concluded, the ballroom burst into applause.“Ciara has entered the building,” Inaba said of this week’s routine, praising Miller for her “ferocity” on the dance floor.
The routine earned Miller and Armstrong a 18/30 from the judges.
After weeks of speculation, Wilson and Batula confirmed their relationship in a joint statement via their Instagram Stories in March, saying it was “never our intention to purposely hide anything.”
“Given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it,” they wrote. “We’ve shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what’s developed recently was the last thing either of us expected.”
Wilson and Batula added that their “connection grew out of genuine, long-standing friendship,” which they said made it “especially important” to approach their confession “with care.”
“As our feelings evolved, we wanted to take time to understand exactly what we were feeling,” the statement went on to say, with the couple noting that they didn’t want their actions “to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless.”

Shortly after their post, sources told Page Six the pair were in a “full-blown relationship” and that Miller as well as Batula’s estranged husband, Kyle Cooke, were “pissed” and “disappointed” by the news.
All of the drama came to a head at the three-part “Summer House” Season 10 reunion, which aired in May and June. During the dramatic episodes, the cast attempted to work through the shocking turn of events as the timeline of Wilson and Batula’s relationship was called into question.
In recent months, Wilson was axed from the “Summer House” and Batula exited ahead of production on Season 11. Miller returned for the forthcoming season.
Miller has shut down the idea of reconciling with Batula over her romance with Wilson.
Earlier this year, when asked by People in an interview if she and Batula were “dunzo,” Miller savagely replied, “Yeah, for sure.”
“I wouldn’t do this to my worst enemy,” she added.
During the reunion’s final installment, Miller brutally rejected an apology from Batula, calling the act of her starting up a relationship with her ex — especially doing so behind her back — “a big f–k you” to her.
New episodes of “DWTS” air Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and Disney+, and stream on Hulu the following day.
