On Thursday, Oct. 1, Buddy Guy will celebrate his 90th birthday with his huge Buddy’s Got The Blues concert featuring some of the biggest names in the game at Radio City Music Hall.
Notable icons set to share the stage with the inimitable vet include Rock Hall of Famer Eric Clapton, seven-time Grammy winner John Mayer, chameleonic hit-maker Jon Batiste, B.B. King’s former opener (when he was 12!) Joe Bonamassa and ZZ Top frontman Billy Gibbons.
Gary Clark Jr., Aloe Blacc, Robert Cray, Jimmie Vaughan and Susan Tedeschi & Derek Trucks of Tedeschi Trucks Band will be there as well.
Rounding out the expansive bill are virtuosic performers Shemekia Copeland, Samantha Fish, Eric Gales, Robert Randolph and Kenny Wayne Shepherd.
All in all, 23 artists — including Buddy, of course — will ring in the milestone birthday.

At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on seats for the star-studded, one-off concert was $1,199 including fees on Vivid Seats.
Fans hoping to get closer to the action will have to pay quite a bit more.
“Can’t wait to celebrate 90 years of living, loving, and playing the Blues with all my friends,” Guy, who was inducted into the Rock Hall of Fame in 2005, said. “We’ll make it a night not just for me, but for the folks who taught us, the friends we’ve played with, and the ones coming up behind us.”
Following the big gig, the tireless Buddy Guy will hit the road once again and tour all over North America from Oct. 8-29.
He’ll close the run with a show at Memphis’ TN’s Graceland Soundstage on Thursday, Oct. 29.

He’s putting on his semi-annual Crossroads Guitar Festival at Austin, TX’s Moody Center on Sept. 26-27.
Fellow headliners include Phish’s Trey Anastasio, seven-time Grammy winner John Mayer, The Who’s axeman Pete Townshend, soon-to-be 90-year-old bluesman/”Sinners” icon Buddy Guy and ZZ Top rocker/Texas native Billy Gibbons.

On July 30, 2025 (aka Guy’s 89th birthday), Buddy Guy dropped his 20th studio album “Ain’t Done With The Blues,” which features household names like Joe Walsh, Peter Frampton and Joe Bonamassa.
Over 18 tracks, the nine-time Grammy winner more than proves he has gas left in the tank on tunes like the muscly anthem “Been There Done That,” down and dirty “Blues Chase The Blues Away,” playful ditty “Trick Bag,” twangy “Talk To Your Daughter” and downright giddy toe-tapper “Where U At.”
However, the true standout here just might be the electric “I Got Sumpin’ For You” that will knock you down flat with its groovy hook that we guarantee you won’t be able to shake for weeks.
