Add The New York Post on Google A Brooklyn woman fatally stabbed her boyfriend as he allegedly beat her in her apartment over the weekend, according to police.
Jennifer Ayala, 36, knifed beau Pedersin Pelissier, 36, in the chest in her East Flatbush home around 6:50 a.m. Saturday because he “would not stop hitting her,” she told police, according to the criminal complaint.
Police found Pelissier bleeding from two stab wounds.
He was rushed to the hospital, where he was declared dead an hour later, police said.
Ayala told investigators she was defending herself when she grabbed the knife and “poked” Pelissier while he was attacking her.
She was arrested and charged with first-degree manslaughter and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
She was arraigned Sunday and released on her own recognizance despite prosecutors requesting she be remanded, a rep for the DA’s office said.
