Add Page Six on Google Taylor Swift announced she is releasing a new song, “Patient Zero.”
“I’ve been impatiently waiting to tell you that my brand new single ‘Patient Zero’ will be out on September 25 (!!!!!!!!!!!!) and it’s available to pre-order now on my website for 24 hours,” the Grammy winner wrote via Instagram Tuesday.
Following the announcement, the “Bad Blood” singer released three CD variations of the track, including a piano version and an acoustic version, for pre-order on her website.
The front covers of the CDs featured three different photos of Swift, 36, donning different black-colored outfits, with additional photos of the pop star on the back cover. Each cover also featured different-colored trims, including sparkling black, orange and blue.
Fans can pre-order the CDs for $3.99 each while supplies last.
Swift announced the track after sharing a countdown timer in “The Life of a Showgirl” album’s electric color palette of sparkling gold and orange.
She also hinted at the secret by decorating her page with what appeared to be a satin red curtain background bordered with gold show-stopping sparkles.
It’s unclear if “Patient Zero” will lead to a new album, but Swift’s last album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” was released on Oct. 3, 2025.
The “Lover” songstress announced her 12th studio album on her now-husband Travis Kelce’s podcast, “New Heights,” that August, revealing a vinyl with an orange and green color scheme.
The12-track album included the tracks, “The Fate of Ophelia,” “Elizabeth Taylor,” “Opalite,” “Father Figure,” “Eldest Daughter,” “Ruin the Friendship,” “Actually Romantic,” “Wi$h Li$t,” “Wood,” “CANCELLED!,” “Honey,” and the titular song, “The Life of a Showgirl.”
Several tracks were dedicated to her romance with Kelce, including the song about his “manhood” titled “Wood” and “Wi$h Li$t,” which hears her sing about finding a loyal companion.
Swift also pulled out all the stops for the album, releasing several limited-edition vinyls.
Swift and the Kansas City Chiefs star got engaged in August 2025 after two years of dating.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” they captioned photos from the gardenesque proposal.
Page Six exclusively learned that the couple tied the knot in a private ceremony ahead of saying “I do” in front of their family and friends at Madison Square Garden in New York City on July 3.
The star-studded nupitals, attended by Gigi Hadid and Selena Gomez, was officiated by Adam Sandler, with Swift’s brother, Austin, being her “Man of Honor” and Kelce’s brother, Jason, as the “Best Man.”
A few days after tying the knot, Swift and Kelce made an appearance at JuJu Smith-Schuster’s wedding ahead of Kelce returning to the NFL for the Chiefs’ training camp.
The duo temporarily stepped out separately as Kelce geared up for the season and officially broke cover for a date night at the Ambassadors Clubhouse New York earlier this month.
The NFL star tenderly kept his hand on his wife’s back as they made their way into the Big Apple hotspot in their coordinated satin outfits.

Kelce officially returned to the field for the Chiefs vs. Denver Broncos match at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, on Sept. 14.
Swift sat alongside actor Tom Cruise in a private suite to watch as the Chiefs defeated the Broncos, 31 to 10.
The “Blank Space” singer also proudly watched as Kelce made his first touchdown of the season at the Chiefs vs. Indianapolis Colts match in Missouri on Sunday.
Swift leaped with excitement, appearing to say “That’s my husband!” while pointing to her massive wedding ring. The Chiefs defeated the Colts in an overtime victory, 33 to 30.
An insider told Page Six that the newlyweds were currently residing at Kelce’s Kansas City home during the NFL season, but would likely jump around to Swift’s various properties, including in NYC, California and Tennessee, throughout the year.
The duo also recently purchased a ritzy new Ohio mansion, where Kelce grew up.
