Policy chief calls on the city to consider a sustainable aviation fuel mandate, saying clear targets are needed to draw investment and build supply

Stephen Wong Yuen-shan, head of the Chief Executive’s Policy Unit, made the remarks at the Sustainable Aviation Futures China Congress on Tuesday, days after the government set out its fuel strategy in the city’s first five-year plan and policy address amid mounting global competition.
“It is a question of whether Hong Kong can remain an international aviation hub as the economics and rules of global aviation change,” he said.
