After the “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl” actor dished on the spicy scene from their forthcoming film, “Bucking Fastard,” at the San Sebastián Film Festival in Spain over the weekend, fans took to Reddit to share their thoughts.
“Ewww… this is appalling. What work should I definitely NOT look out for so I don’t watch this filth?” said one person.
“What the f–k is happening…why would the maras agree to this…,” commented a third user.
“im shocked they would actually do this…. Just bizarre,” said a fourth netizen.
However, several other users defended the raunchy scene, saying it was just part of the actors’ job.
“It’s acting. They’re all adults,” said one person.

“Sounds bizarre but it’s based on a true story. So I guess this is what happened,” added another fan.
“its acting. You’re not supposed to be attracted to and enjoy the sex scenes. Its a job,” commented a third netizen.
Over the weekend, Bloom, 49, spoke about his “sincere” threesome scene with Rooney, 41, and Kate, 43.
“[There is] such simplicity to the characters and [their] carnal desires, but also an innocence to the sisters,” the “Troy” star said at the San Sebastián Film Festival, per Variety.
Bloom plays Gareth Mulroney, a man who is caught between twin sisters Joan and Jean Holbrooke, played by Rooney and the “Imperfect Women” actress, respectively.
He said the threesome was a “very sincere sort of moment” that he, Rooney and Kate created together.
Werner Herzog also weighed in on the scene, explaining that there are times when a director “has to step back.”
“You are in bed, and you have two women in your arms. How you deal with it, I cannot give instructions,” the German director, 84, recalled telling Bloom.
Herzog described the moment as “beautiful,” adding that the scene has “such charm and depth.”
“Bucking Fastard” had its world premiere at the Venice International Film Festival on Sept. 3. The movie does not yet have a wide theatrical release date.
